“Headfort House was built in the second half of the 18th century. Its most important rooms were designed by the renowned Scottish Georgian architect Robert Adam, and mainly for that reason Headfort has been placed (alongside the Great Wall of China) on the 2004-2005 World Monuments Fund watchlist of 100 significant architectural sites worldwide. Headfort also contains one of the most important collections of trees in these islands.”
